About Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens, born on February 7th, 1812, is one of the most widely read authors in English literature. His works have been adapted into countless films and television shows and he remains a beloved figure in British culture.

Dickens wrote numerous novels throughout his career including classics such as Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist. These tales explored topics such as poverty, social injustice and life during Victorian England. He also wrote short stories and essays that continue to be read today.
