About Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens is one of the most iconic English authors of all time. His works have been beloved by generations, and his influence can still be seen in modern literature. Born on February 7th 1812 in Portsmouth, England, Dickens was the second of eight children born to John and Elizabeth Dickens. From a young age, he was exposed to poverty and inequality due to his father's financial difficulties.
