About Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Charlotte Perkins Gilman was a prominent American author, lecturer and feminist at the turn of the twentieth century. She is best known for her short story “The Yellow Wallpaper”, which became an instant classic due to its distinctive brand of psychological realism. In addition to her writing, she was also an important social thinker and advocate for women’s rights. Her work challenged the traditional roles of women in society and argued that they should be given more freedom and opportunities for self-fulfillment.
Throughout her life, she wrote numerous books on topics such as gender politics, birth control, marriage and motherhood. Her most famous works are still relevant today as they shed light on important issues that still affect modern society. Gilman may have passed away in 1935 but her legacy lives on through her writings which continue to shape how we view gender roles today. Find out more about Charlotte Perkins Gilman at sevenov.com.
