About Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was an English novelist and writer who wrote some of the most famous works of literature in the Victorian era. He is known for his social commentary and criticism, which is often seen as a reflection of his own life. His works have been translated into multiple languages and adapted for film, television, and theater.
Born in 1812, Dickens started writing at a young age. His early writings included sketches that were published in newspapers such as The Morning Chronicle. In 1836 he began to write full-length novels with The Pickwick Papers being one of the earliest examples of his work.
