About F. Scott Fitzgerald
F Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most renowned American authors of all time. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 24th, 1896, Fitzgerlad was an icon of the Jazz Age and a major figure in the “Lost Generation”. He wrote four novels that remain classics today: This Side of Paradise (1920), The Beautiful and Damned (1922), The Great Gatsby (1925) and Tender Is the Night (1934).
Fitzgerald drew upon his own experiences to bring realism to his works; many characters were based on real people from his life. While many of Fitzgerald’s works are set among wealthy classes in New York City or other parts of America, he also wrote about more humble settings such as small towns and rural areas.
