About Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens is a renowned English novelist and writer of the Victorian era. His works are known for their vivid characters, intricate plots, social commentary and unique use of satire. He was born in Portsmouth, England on February 7th, 1812 and died at the age of 58 in 1870. Throughout his career he wrote 15 novels, five novellas and numerous short stories and non-fiction pieces.
One of Dickens' most famous works is A Christmas Carol, which tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's transformation from a miserly old man to someone who has learned to accept love into his life.
